Weston Hurd's Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets practice group is a dedicated team of litigators and transactional attorneys who assist clients in developing solutions and avoiding problems.
The copyright practice consists of the protection and enforcement of clients' copyrights and the negotiation of computer software contracts, licenses and other agreements.
Attorneys in the trademark practice counsel clients on the selection, licensing and enforcement of trademarks, including domain names; global brand management issues; trademark portfolio management; license agreement negotiations; and infringement disputes, including Internet disputes.
In addition, Weston Hurd's Intellectual Property attorneys are thoroughly integrated with the firm's other departments and provide an extra dimension of analysis to issues whose intellectual property components might otherwise go undetected.
The patent attorneys assist clients in the review of their patent and technology portfolios and develop strategies that maximize the value of those assets and minimize infringement risks. Those strategies include the negotiation of license, franchise and technology transfer agreements.
