Partner Eugene (Gene) A. Kratus focuses his practice on providing counsel to closely-held businesses on taxation and estate planning matters. In addition, Gene advises individuals in the areas of tax, business and estate planning and counsels privately-owned businesses and their owners on corporate, tax, mergers, acquisitions and business succession issues. He also assists his business clients on matters involving start-ups and mergers and acquisitions. His estate planning practice includes implementing various estate planning techniques, ranging from modest By-Pass Trusts to the implementation of sophisticated planning with family limited partnerships, family limited liability companies, charitable trusts and private foundations.
