Have you ever asked yourself what you would do if an employee suffered a serious injury in the workplace, such as a loss of limb, or if there were a fatality? Unless you have been through it before, you may not have a plan of action in place. And coming up with a plan of action on the spot when a catastrophe occurs is not easy. Often, the employer is so concerned about taking care of the employee and making sure his or her injuries are treated that it never even occurs to the employer to worry about a lawsuit that might happen in a year or two.
