As a Nurse Legal Assistant for Weston Hurd, Mary Lou Shumate, RN, BSN focuses on medical malpractice, long term care and insurance litigation. She is responsible for medical record review/analysis and summary, medical literature research, assisting in expert selection and communication, deposition summarization and assisting in deposition and trial preparation. Prior to her work as a Nurse Legal Assistant, Mary Lou worked in coronary critical care in hospitals in Columbus and Cleveland as a staff nurse as well as in nursing management.
