

Steven G. Carlino is the Partner-in-Charge of Weston Hurd’s Columbus office. He focuses his practice on the defense of businesses, individuals and governmental entities in personal injury and property damage claims. Steve dedicates much of his practice on the defense of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Steve represents and defends public entities, including cities, towns, and villages, as well as national and regional commercial insurance carriers. Steve defends his clients aggressively with one goal in mind – that his clients are satisfied with the result.
Steve received his B.S. cum laude from Ohio University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Capital University where he was Associate Editor of the Law Review. Steve gained his Ohio Bar admission in 2001. He also has admission before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. In addition, Steve has argued successfully before the Ohio Supreme Court. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
Since 2006, Steve has been a member of the Ohio Board of Bar Examiners. In 2007, he attended the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy in Stanford, California. From 2009 through 2016, Steve was named an Ohio Rising Star by Thomson Reuters. Since 2017, Steve has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer in Civil Litigation-Defense by Thomson Reuters. He was also named a Top Lawyer by Columbus CEO Magazine in 2015 and 2016.
