Attorney Kathryn M. Williams, “Kate,” is a Cleveland native. She received her Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University in 2004, where she graduated cum laude. Kate studied law at the University of Dayton School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor in 2007.
Kate began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney, where she represented the State of Ohio on behalf of victims of crime. In 2011, she turned her focus to estate planning and elder law and found her passion. Kate helps clients solve complex problems in estate planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, trust planning, special needs planning, and estates.
Kate has always enjoyed her work with families and helped to ensure that her clients maintained dignity through the process of aging. She founded and grew a successful practice and is excited to integrate her work with Weston Hurd LLP.
Kate is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims.
Kate has three children, enjoys running, cooking, painting, and home improvement projects. She is a breast cancer survivor and a women’s health advocate. She is an ambassador for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
