Congratulations Corky O'Sullivan

We are pleased to announce that earlier today Ohio Governor Mike DeWine appointed Weston Hurd partner Cornelius O’Sullivan as a Judge to the Eighth District Court of Appeals. Corky will be sworn in on December 15. Congratulations Corky!

Corky joined the firm in January 2019 after spending nearly 15 years as a Senior Litigation Attorney with CNA Ins. Co.

With more than 25 years of legal experience and over 20 years in civil litigation, Corky routinely handles large loss matters and has tried over 40 cases as the first chair attorney. Corky’s practice areas include catastrophic claims, general commercial liability, wrongful death, construction defect, real estate, professional liability, long term care, trucking and UM/UIM litigation. In 2020, Corky was trained and certified by The Cleveland Mediation Center and fulfilled the requirements of the Supreme Court of Ohio Rule 16 to provide services as a Professional Mediator. 

Within the community, Corky serves as Director of the Flock Community Meals in Lakewood, an organization that prepares and serves 200 plus meals a month at two locations.  He is a past-president of the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and has been recognized by DRI for his exceptional service. In 2021, Corky was named to the DRI Construction Law Steering Committee. The father of four Eagle Scouts, Corky is a Scout Leader in BSA Troop 287 in Lakewood, Ohio.
