Weston Hurd’s Business Practice Group works to identify client concerns and respond with recommendations and suggestions that provide practical and efficient solutions.

The business group is varied due to the differing and complex matters in which its business clients are involved. As general, regional or local counsel, the attorneys represent both established and emerging businesses operating in virtually every segment of the economy. Counsel is provided to individuals; partnerships and non-profit organizations; limited liability companies and corporations.

The business attorneys provide comprehensive counsel to their clients with the goal of helping clients achieve their objectives. Counsel is provided in the organization, financing and operation of business ventures through and including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. They also represent their clients in the full range of matters that impact a business such as: bankruptcy, business restructurings and creditors’ rights, business organization and financing, business succession planning, commercial disputes, contracts and contract negotiation compliance, e-commerce, employment and labor, environmental, financial services, franchising and securities matters, real estate and tax issues.
